Episode 5: Interview with Superintendent of Marshall Public Schools – Caleb Petet

This episode features our very first podcast guest! Listen as MPS Superintendent Caleb Petet educates us on the district’s proposed tax levy increase which will be on the April 4th ballot. We learn how the district plans to use the funds collected if the levy passes, what the future looks like if the levy doesn’t pass, and how much the increase will cost the average tax payer.

In this episode we dive right in and address some persistent rumors surrounding the recent changes in the way that we collect trash here in Marshall. We discuss the factors that led to the contracting out of our waste management services and explain how that decision will lead to our streets and sidewalks getting a lot more attention going forward.
