The Certificate of Occupancy form refers to the structure where the business is to be located (home, office or store front, and in some cases a mobile unit).

You must obtain one of these if the name of the business does not include the first and last name of the owner. Please contact the Missouri Secretary of State www.sos.mo.gov.

You must have this license if you are selling any tangible items. Obtain this license through the Missouri Department of Revenue at (573)751-4450 or by internet at www.dor.mo.gov.​

If you have a Missouri Retail Sales License, you will need to provide us your No Tax Due Information.

Construction Contractors with 1 or more employees must provide certificates of coverage.

License Fee is determined by the type of business. Click HERE for business licensing fees.

Some business classifications will require a Health Inspection. Please contact the Business Licensing Department for details.

All Business Licenses must be renewed by March 1st of each year. Licenses not renewed will be considered delinquent April 1st and a penalty of $10 per month will be assessed.

If you have a change of status in your business, such as business name, address or going out of business; it is your responsibility to notify the Business Licensing Department.
